download-icon This is a post in the series outlining the recent upgrades to Infinity Conference Call’s flagship webmeeting product ICC NetMeet.

Infinity Conference Call has always been a company that strives for the easiest way to accomplish your communication of information. This includes communicating with the people that just couldn’t get to your meeting or presentation live. We always offered the ability to simply send a link to someone for them to be able to view the meeting they missed. No large files to send. no downloads to worry about. No technical knowledge needed by the user…just click the link, and view the recording in your web browser.

But sometimes there is a situation where you are looking to have a copy of your archive that is local on your computer. Perhaps you are planning on viewing it on a plane or somewhere that there is not a stable Internet connection. Or maybe you would like to put the archive on a DVD that you can hand out at trade shows. Maybe you are just the kind of person that likes to have it and know it is completely under your control. We understand all of these needs and that is why we are glad to introduce Downloadable Recordings.

Now from your Recordings page you will see an obvious link to Download the entire recording to your hard drive in a ZIP file. Extract the file and click on the HTML document and the entire meeting plays in your browser with no Internet connection required.

This is not your typical little video file either. All those great features of ICC NetMeet recording are still available to you. Bookmarks, File Transfers, video playback and more are all local on your system and under your control. Once again Infinity Conference Call has given you more choice, and kept things as simple as possible to allow you to view your archived meetings however you wish.

Contact us today for a free demonstration of ICC NetMeet and we will send you a recording of it for you to see just how easy it all can be.

ICC NetMeet Update: Easier and Independent VOIP

headset This is a post in the series outlining the recent upgrades to Infinity Conference Call’s flagship webmeeting product ICC NetMeet.

I have often made the case for quality audio being the most important part of a web meeting. On this blog and others I have stated that “Great audio will make or break your meeting or event!” I still firmly believe this to be true, but there comes situations where it just is not the most feasible or cost-effective way to run the meeting.

This is where ICC NetMeet integrated VOIP capabilities have come into play. This service that was always available with our A/V package and Free trial is now even easier to use and more reliable. We have separated the audio component from the video component so you can now activate any attendees audio with the simple click of a button. no more having to have a video window up, which may not be desired or needed.NetMeet_VOIP

This simple mechanism for 2-way VOIP audio makes it very simple to run a webmeeting really with nothing more than your computer. No need to dial on the phone as you can have a conversation using your computer mic/speakers or preferably a headset.

Knowing the increased usage of the simpler interface a lot of care also went into upgrading the audio quality of our VOIP service as well. You now will have clearer and more reliable VOIP capabilities which is a huge benefit for peace of mind during your meeting.

Contact us today for a free demonstration of the simplicity and features of ICC NetMeet and make the most out of your meetings.

Infinity Conference Call takes pride in listening to our customers and making ICC NetMeet the webconferencing product that meets their needs. We have had requests for a few features to be added to our ever-popular webconferencing service and over the weekend have had a significant upgrade to the system.

Along with better performance, security, and an overall more updated and polished look (amazing what a few new icons can do to a UI), we have added in some often requested features to our service. I’ll be doing a series of blog posts on the upgrades over the next few days giving a good in depth look at the enhanced usability and function of the simplest web meeting product on the market.

While the full list of features and upgrades to ICC NetMeet  includes many parts of the service and backend additions and changes, I’ll wrap up today’s post with a short list of the more notable enhancements:

MyMeetingsScreenshot

  • Added a simplified My Meetings page to quickly start or schedule meeting.
  • Added customization of registration email message and ability to turn on/off auto replay. Also added "Auto Reminder" to send email to registered users at some preset time before a meet starts.
  • Improved VOIP and separated microphones from the webcam windows to allow independent control of participant microphones.
  • Added an option to download the entire recording for offline playback.
  • Updated meeting viewer icons.
  • Added microphone status icons to the viewer’s attendee list.
  • Minimized webcam windows on the right side instead of the bottom of the window.

Be sure to check back for in depth looks at the upgrades to ICC NetMeet. If you haven’t tried the service yet, feel free to login right now and see how easy it is by clicking here.

Wireless N Man to your rescue!

router I found a great article recently on PC Mech which goes into detail about how frustrating it is to setup a new Wireless N router. If you don’t know what Wireless N is, don’t worry, but if you are looking to learn more about technology, PC Mech is a great resource to widen your breadth of knowledge.

The article focuses on the frustration to set up this particular piece of hardware to get the most out of it. The author is a highly technical savvy guy and the article is more written for those that are not so adept to configuring their technology. They just want things to work!

I saw an immediate relation between that mentality and the work we do here at Infinity Conference Call. People come to us with a specific task they want to accomplish. They don’t want to become experts in putting on webinars or video conferencing. They don’t want to have to become a guru on Social Media either. They just want to be able to do what they need and get the most out of the service. I know when I make a phone call, I don’t want to have to become a cell phone aficionado. I just want to talk to somebody!

Image courtesy of DeviantArtUnfortunately as the article makes very apparent, there is not some Superhero “Wireless N Man” that is going to come to your aid and make sure you are using your new technology correctly. Also unfortunately in conferencing, many service vendors are also not going to be there to hold your hand and make sure you get the most out of the services they are charging you for.

This is what does and always will hold Infinity Conference Call above the competition. Nothing is more important to us as you having a good meeting using our tools and we will do whatever is necessary to insure that is what happens. From training sessions, practice runs, and going over all the little nuances of your upcoming event, we will make sure that your meetings run exactly how you envision them. There is never a charge or end for this level of service that we offer and we are unique in our industry in that regard.

While we may not wear the tights or have a cape on our back, let us be your hero when it comes to getting your message out to the many that are so eager to hear it.

soccor Yes it is World Cup time and the buzz is everywhere. No, not that buzz! The chatter on Facebook, Twitter and everywhere else as people root for their favorite country to bring home the coveted title. What I love about events like the World Cup or the Olympics is the coming together of an international world for a common event. Years ago this was a rarity and these two occasions were pretty much it, but now thanks to the Internet and Social Media, we have interactions beyond our local areas easier than ever before.

Every day there are conference calls, webinars, and video conferences that include people from multiple countries and continents. As the tools to do this get easier and more instant, like ICC NetMeet, it is becoming more and more accepted as the norm for communications. Infinity Conference Call is proud to be a leading provider of the communications that bring the world closer on more occasions.

Is your business International? If not, why not? We can make it happen faster and easier than any other conferencing company with the tools to reach more places in the world on the best equipment there is. All in a simple to use package with our concierge level of support and training.

All you need is the desire to be there, and ICC will bring you there. Contact us today.

Guest post on “Sharisax is out there” – 2 Big Webinar blunders to avoid

Posted on 18th June 2010 by Anthony in Uncategorized

I was fortunate enough to meet Shari Weiss on my travels through the social media landscape. She was in a discussion of Webinars and I offered a bit of insight from my company’s perspective. She eventually asked me to write a guest post about webinars on her blog which deals with Social Media and all things to enhance the exposure of your business. I highly recommend subscribing to it.

To read the article itself and insure you don’t fall victim to these potential blunders in your webinars, visit Sharisax Is Out There HERE.

Also note, using ICC NetMeet’s browser based webconferencing service, with their Compunetix based integrated audio for your Webinars insures that you will never have these blunders appear in your meetings.

NASA is moving forward. Are you?

ShuttleAtlantis_launch I’m a big astronomy buff and a big fan of NASA (who only uses Compunetix bridges for their teleconferencing, same as we supply to all our customers). I remember sitting back when I was a kid and watched the first Space Shuttle Columbia launch with my family. It was one of the most amazing things I ever witnessed and was the cutting edge of technology, and human achievement at the time.

Currently, the Space Shuttle Atlantis is orbiting the earth preparing to return home on Wednesday. It is the final voyage for this shuttle and soon there will be no more shuttle voyages. What was once the cutting edge is now 30 year old technology and aging rapidly. NASA is rightfully retiring the Space Shuttle program after 132 space fairing missions. A successful run to say the least.

NASA sees that technology has to move forward and the Constellation program is the future. Is your company in a situation where you are using technology that was the greatest cutting edge tech, but today is starting to lag behind? Are you conducting conference calls and asking your attendees to “Look at document/page/diagram/etc.” and hoping everyone is keeping up looking at what you want them to?

To be relevant in today’s business world, you have to move forward. WebConferencing is becoming a  standard technology in many companies, and VideoConferencing is becoming more and more commonplace as well. Shouldn’t your company keep up as well. Infinity Conference Call can bring you to the cutting edge again.

The old excuses of “It’s too complicated/expensive/slow/” are no longer valid thanks to ICC NetMeet. A service that does all the web collaboration you would need without installing any proprietary software on your system. The inclusion of multimedia clips and live video conferencing insures that you are able to have a fully interactive and productive meeting that all can participate in.

And lets not try to use that old “Then I have to re-learn something new” excuse. With Infinity Conference Call, you always have access to real personal hand-holding training and support 24/7. In addition to the training, you have the ability to have practice runs, dress-rehearsals before big events, and the confidence of having a representative even sit in on your conference to make sure it kicks off smoothly. You have a vision in your head of how you want your meetings to go, and making that a reality is what ICC is all about.

If you have been thinking of moving forward with web and video conferencing, the time is now, and Infinity Conference Call is the company to make it happen. Contact us today.
